Cara Gentilini is a Speech, Language & Swallowing Pathologist at Q Enrichment Center. Ms. Gentilini is from the United States and has a Certificate of Clinical Competency with the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (“ASHA”). Ms. Gentilini is also a member of ASHA and the Texas Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
Ms. Gentilini has over six (6) years of experience working in the US and UAE. Ms. Gentilini’s clinical experience includes providing services to individuals from infancy to senior citizens, and she possesses specialist knowledge, clinical experience for the following: Voice disorders, Articulation / Phonological disorders, Language disorders, speech / language delay, Swallowing disorders, Stuttering / stammering, Aphasia, Dysarthria, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Cognitive impairments, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorder / Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Down Syndrome.
Ms. Gentilini also has experience with neurological and progressive disorders including Parkinson’s and Dementia (e.g. Alzheimer’s).
Prior to joining Q Enrichment Center in September 2020, Ms. Gentilini was with FamilyFIRST Medical Center in Dubai, UAE for approximately two (2) and a half years. Prior to joining FamilyFIRST Medical Center, Ms. Gentilini was with Garden Terrace of Houston, Life Care Centers of America in Houston, Texas USA for a little over one (1) year.
Ms. Gentilini continues to attend multiple conferences and webinars focused on educating and addressing ongoing evidence-based treatments in the field of Speech Pathology. Ms. Gentilini also has a Lee Silverman’s Voice Treatment (“LSVT”) LOUD certificate specifically designed for people with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions.
Ms. Gentilini received her Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2014. Ms. Gentilini also completed a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2016.
