Q Enrichment’s Model of Care

1. I am not sure if I, my child or my loved one needs Speech, Language and / or Swallowing Therapy or Occupational Therapy.

2. We provide a telephonic interview and gather your case history with one of our highly experienced Speech, Language and Swallowing Pathologists (“SLSPs”) and / or Occupational Therapists (“OTs”).

3a. Our SLSP and / or OT does not recommend an assessment.

3b. Our SLSP and / or OT recommends an
assessment.

4. An assessment is conducted*.

5. A formal report is compiled by the SLSP and / or OT.

6. A feed back session to discuss the report is conducted with the client and / or caregiver.

7a. Our SLSP and / or OT does not recommend therapy.

7b. Our SLSP and / or OT recommends therapy.

8. Therapy sessions are conducted.

9. Client is discharged.

*A detailed report and additional feedback session with our SLSP and / or OT is part of the assessment.

1. We all have concerns and it is best to contact an expert in the field to get more information.

2. Call our team.  Book an assessment and telephonic case history interview with SLSP and / or OT, to be properly prepared for the assessment.

3a. With the information provided, our SLSP and / or OT does not recommend an assessment.  We find that sometimes there is actually nothing to be concerned about.

3b. With the information provided, our SLSP and / or OT recommends an assessment.

4. The purpose of an assessment is to determine whether Speech, Language and / or Swallowing Therapy and / or Occupational Therapy is required.  Normally takes up to an hour (includes a detailed report and feedback session with our SLSP and / or OT).  For OT, assessments may occur over two (2) sessions with complicated cases or smaller children with shorter attention spans.

5. A formal report is created.  This includes all observations and deductions from the assessment as well as future recommendations.

6. Feedback session where the assessment findings are discussed in detail with client and / or caregiver.

7a. Our SLSP and / or OT does not recommend therapy.

7b. Our SLSP and / or OT recommends there is a need for therapy.  Our SLSP and / or OT will provide an estimate of the number of therapy sessions needed and detail the goals of the therapy sessions.

8. The purpose of therapy is to aid our clients in overcoming their difficulties and achieving their goals, quickly and efficiently.  Our 360 degree approach provides transparency and guidance to accelerate a client’s growth and development in and outside of therapy.  Therapy should not be an open ended time frame with no goals or benchmarks.

9. The goals of therapy may have been reached.  The client may have reached a plateau in recovery.  Our SLSP and / or OT and the client have determined that therapy is no longer required.

Testimonials

“What a fantastic team at Q Enrichment Center. I 100% recommend them for any family. They conduct themselves in the most professional attitude all around, they are welcoming and my son enjoyed the service thoroughly. Thanks again.”
– Jean (Mother of child client)

“Q Enrichment Center has “A brilliant speech therapist she single handily helped me overcome the difficulties of dysphagia. Her work truly is a vocation, her desire for me to make a full recovery was just as strong if not stronger than my own. By far the best therapist I was fortunate enough to deal with.”
– Chris (Male adult client)
